Legislative Representative
Job Summary:
To serve as a resource for NDAHRA concerning legislative matters that affect
the human resource practices of its members.
Responsibilities:
1.
Report on current
employment legislation quarterly, or as needed, at the NDAHRA chapter meetings.
2.
Provide
information for the monthly newsletter concerning employment legislation, as
appropriate.
3.
Assist in
obtaining speakers to discuss legislative matters.
4.
Promote the HR
Voice Legislative network organized by SHRM.
5.
Maintain contact
with local, state and federal legislators regarding employment legislative
activity, as necessary.
6.
Attend and
contribute to monthly Chapter and Board meetings including scheduled planning
meetings.
7.
Assist in the
management of the affairs of NDAHRA as vested with the officers and Board of
Directors by the membership.
8.
Participate in
new member orientation.
9.
Assist board
members with special projects.
